ConferenceSeries Ltd is organizing International Conference on Plastic & Aesthetic Surgery during August 08-10, 2016 at Toronto, Canada which will feature Keynote Presenters, Scientists, Researchers, Doctors and Young Research Fellows from all over the world.
Summary:
The process of reconstructing or repairing parts of the body by the transfer of tissue, either in the treatment of injury or for cosmetic reasons is Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery. It concerned with the restoration, reconstruction, correction, or improvement in the shape and appearance of bodystructures that are defective, damaged, or misshapen by injury, disease, or anomalous growth and development. Plastic surgery is also involved with the enhancement of the appearance of a person through cosmetic surgery. It is a medical procedure with the purpose of alteration or restoring the form of the body. Though, aesthetic or cosmetic surgery is the most well-known kind of plastic surgery. This surgery itself is not necessarily considered cosmetic; and includes many types of craniofacial surgery, hand surgery, micro surgery, reconstructive surgery and treatment of burns.
Track 1: Facial Rejuvenation
Facial rejuvenation refers to the combination of cosmetic procedures used to restore your facial features to their previous youthful appearance. While a facelift is often the anchor or foundation for much facial rejuvenation, other procedures can complement and enhance the result. Surgical procedures such as eyelid surgery, brow lift and facial implants can help correct specific problem areas on the face. Nonsurgical treatments including, fillers, neurotoxins and fat injections can be used for volume enhancement and wrinkle and fold eradication. Laser skin resurfacing or other light modalities can be utilized to improve skin texture and correct skin blemishes or age spots. Facial rejuvenation technologies, Permanent makeup and its complications, Ablative and Non-ablative Lasers, Microdermabrasion Treatments and more which will be discussed under the microdermabrasion meetings. When facelift and shaping with fillers, implants or surgery are combined, you get the joint benefits of skin tightening and lifting along with volume enhancement. Surgical facial rejuvenation procedures can include a brow lift, eye lift, facelift, chin lift and neck lift. Non-surgical (non-invasive) facial rejuvenation treatments can include chemical peels, neuromodulator, laserresurfacing, photorejuvenation, radiofrequency and Ultrasound.

Track 2: Pediatric Craniofacial Surgery
Craniofacial surgery is a subspecialty of surgery involving the surgery of foetuses, infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. Pediatric surgery arose in the middle of the 20th century as the surgical care of birth defects required novel techniques and methods and became more commonly based at children's hospitals. Advances in anaesthesia, surgical techniques, and technology have enhanced the good outcomes and safety. Craniofacial surgery has thus emerged from the valuable contributions of neurosurgery, plastic surgery, occuloplastic, ENT, and head and neck surgery. Teaming of such disciplines helped us to establish a credible unit with ample clinical opportunity.

- muscle paralysis – such as injections of Botox to relax facial muscles, and make lines and wrinkles less obvious
- dermal fillers – injected into wrinkles or creases to fill them out
- chemical peels – which use chemicals to remove the outer layer of skin cells
- microdermabrasion – which uses fine crystals and a vacuum to remove dead skin cells
- non-surgical laser and intense light treatments – such as laser hair removal

Track 4: Hand & Upper Extremities Track
Whether simple or complex, hand injuries can drastically impact a person’s ability to perform everyday tasks and activities. Finding and implementing the right therapy plan is important to ensure an injury has been properly diagnosed and treated, and to restore a patient’s functionality for a productive life. Treating the hand and upper limb means that we tend to the fingertips, the shoulder, and everything in between. The breadth of our care includes: trauma (fractures and sprains, tendon injury, nerve injury); chronic disorders (carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, tendinitis); arthritis (including inflammatory, age-related, and trauma-related); and congenital anomalies such as extra fingers or absence of fingers.
In many cases, disorders of the hand, wrist, forearm, elbow, arm, and shoulder may be treated with non-surgical approaches, including rest, alternation of activity, splinting, and therapy.

Track 7: Breast Reconstruction
Breast reconstruction is the rebuilding of a breast, usually in women. It involves using autologous tissue or prosthetic material to construct a natural-looking breast. Often this includes the reformation of a natural-looking areola and nipple. This procedure involves the use of implants or relocated flaps of the patient's own tissue. Breast reconstruction provides psychological, social, emotional, and functional improvements, including improved psychological health, self-esteem , sexuality, and body image.
Different Types of Breast Reconstruction:
- Simultaneous breast reconstruction: Women have the option to have immediate reconstruction of their breast(s) at the same time as their mastectomy. This is a reasonable option for patients who do not need breast irradiation.
- Staged breast reconstruction: Many women who require radiation therapy are advised to have staged breast reconstruction instead of simultaneous reconstruction. If radiation is done on a newly reconstructed breast, over time it can alter its cosmetic appearance, making an implant hard, painful, deformed, contracted or even exposed. It may also cause severe fibrosis or shrinkage of the fatty tissue that may have been used in rebuilding the breast.
- Delayed breast reconstruction: A woman may opt for delayed reconstruction if a plastic surgeon was not involved after her mastectomy. Many women did not know their breast reconstruction options at the time of mastectomy.

Track 8: Rhinoplasty and Otoplasty
Rhinoplasty, a nose job, is a plastic surgery procedure for correcting andre constructing the form, restoring the functions, and aesthetically enhancing the nose, by resolving nasal trauma (blunt, penetrating, blast), congenital defect, respiratory impediment, or a failed primary rhinoplasty. Otoplasty denotes the surgical and non-surgical procedures for correcting the deformities and defects of the pinna (external ear), and for reconstructing a defective, or deformed, or absent external ear, consequent to congenital conditions (e.g. microtia, anotia, etc.) and trauma (blunt, penetrating, or blast)

Market Research:
The International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery is a world leader in plastic surgery. After a year-long process, the Society has produced the ISAPS Biennial Global Survey of plastic surgeons and procedures in the top 25 countries and regions – representing 75% of all procedures in 2009. The ISAPS Survey marks the first time reliable international plastic surgery data has been obtained and analyzed by independent statistical specialists. For the last ten years, the consensus has been that breast augmentation was the most popular plastic surgery procedure. The ISAPS Global Survey reveals a new trend with liposuction representing 18.8% of all surgical procedures, followed by breast augmentation at 17%, and blepharoplasty 13.5%, rhinoplasty at 9.4% and abdominoplasty at 7.3%. The popularity of surgical procedures varied by country with Brazil, the United States, China, Mexico, India and Japan the dominant countries for the top five procedures. Reflecting both advances in cosmetic surgery innovation and the desirability of less expensive treatments, the number of non-surgical procedures performed by plastic surgeons actually topped surgical procedures. While there is no previous baseline of information against which to compare these figures, there can be no doubt that this is a dramatic turn of events. The top five non-surgical procedures are: toxins or neuromodulators injections (32.7%), hyaluronic acid injections (20.1%), laser hair removal (13.1%), autologous fat injections (5.9%) and IP Laser treatment (4.4%). The countries where non-surgical procedures were performed were dominated by the United States, Brazil, Mexico and China and to a lesser extent by Japan, Hungary, South Korea, India and Germany. In 2005, there were 10.2 million cosmetic procedures performed in the United States, an increase of 11% from 2004 and a 38% compared with 2000.This number includes 3,839,387 Botox treatments, 1,033,581 chemical peels, 837,711 microdermabrasions, 782,732 laser hair removals, 589,768 vein sclerotherapies, 323,605 liposuctions, 298,413 rhinoplasties, 291,350 breast augmentations, 230,697 blepharoplasties, 134,746 abdominoplasties, 114,250 breast reductions, 793 vaginal rejuvenation procedures, 337 calf augmentations, and 206 pectoral implants. Forty percent of those undergoing cosmetic procedures are repeat patients; 34% have multiple procedures at the same time.
Why Toronto?
Toronto is Canada's largest city, the fourth largest in North America, and home to a diverse population of about 2.8 million people. It's a global center for business, finance, arts and culture and is consistently ranked one of the world's most livable cities. Toronto has a vibrant history of change and growth, ranging from its early occupation over 1,000 years ago to its current status as North America’s fourth largest city. Toronto is Canada's largest municipality and is made up of the former cities of Toronto, North York, Scarborough, York and Etobicoke, and the former borough of East York. The city is home to a large immigrant population, and is a national and international hub for finance, communications and cultural life. Diverse cultures, climates and landscape make Canada a destination to suit any interest. Canada is a country of immigrants and has a policy of encouraging diversity. Thus, urban hubs feature a range of ethnic neighborhoods, restaurants, and shops. In addition to rich and varied urban centers, Canada’s natural environment is one of the most beautiful in the world. From pristine coastlines to rugged mountains and sparkling lakes, Canada’s geography inspires awe coast to coast.
The western side of Toronto is sometimes only thought of as place where industry and residences bump up against each other, but it is also a place where there are wonderful parks and waterways and where numerous pockets of small businesses and local spirit create active and diverse communities. Combining suburban enclaves and malls with condominium developments and the dense business district surrounding the North York Civic Centre, the north-central tip of Toronto is at once both relaxed and exciting. The area is also home to York University and Black Creek Pioneer Village.

Statistics of Universities, Companies and Associations Worldwide associated with Plastic-Aesthetic Surgery:
Figure 6: Statistics of Universities, Companies and Associations
Projections: Growth by next 5-10 years:
An astonishing 20 million plastic surgery procedures around the world were undertaken last year, according to new figures. They included 50,000 pairs of buttocks being augmented in Brazil; 107,000 pairs of eyes being widened in South Korea – many of them to be made more ‘western’; 1.35 million Americans having their breasts enlarged and 705 British men have their moobs removed. These statistics, published by the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, show how far the concept of beauty has changed in the last generation, and hint at how, in many cultures, going to a cosmetic surgeon, rather than a cosmetics counter, is guaranteed way to reduce the signs of ageing. The U.S. Bureau of Labour Statistics (BLS) estimated that all physicians and surgeons will see an 18% job growth in the years 2012-2022.
The other big restraint on plastic surgery has been scarring. The shine on a burn victim's face, the loss of full joint function after injury, or the rough raised edges of a graft are all the result of scar tissue. But scar-free healing will be available by 2020.
