Track 1:  Plastic Surgery

Plastic Surgery is a process where a human body is evolved by restoration, reconstruction, or alteration. Plastic Surgery can be mainly categorised into two such as reconstructive surgery and cosmetic surgery. Reconstructive Surgery is where treatment or surgery is done to hand, craniofacial or the treatment to burns. Whereas the cosmetic surgery is done to improve the appearance. These are techniques which are used all over the world.

Track 2: Cosmetic Surgery

Cosmetic Surgery is a unique method that is done to enhance or to improve the appearance. It mainly focuses on change or improvement of the human body with enhancing the physical appearance. Plastic Surgery is a process where a human body is evolved by restoration, reconstruction, or alteration. In cosmetic Surgery they commonly use Lipoclastic or liposuction.

Track 3: Reconstructive Surgery

Plastic Surgery can be mainly categorised into two such as reconstructive surgery and cosmetic surgery. Reconstructive Surgery is where treatment or surgery is done to hand, craniofacial or the treatment to burns. It is a procedure to remake and re-established the harmed pieces of body back to its place. This process is used to recreate head, neck, and face after diseases by maxillofacial specialists and otorhino laryngologists.

Track 4: Aesthetic Surgical & Non-Surgical Procedures

Aesthetic Medicine is term that specifies our focuses on improving cosmetic appearance by treatment for various parts of the body like scars, skin laxity, wrinkles, moles, liver spots, excess fat, cellulite, unwanted hair, skin discoloration, and spider veins. Non-Surgical Procedures is a practice that is done by limited physical signs and minimal downtime and mostly use traditional cosmetic procedures.  

Track 5: Craniofacial Surgery

Craniofacial surgery is a type of surgery that deals with skull and its related or associated structures like face, jaw, neck. It mainly involves in the treatment or manipulation of bone.  Acute and chronic sequellae of facial fractures, cleft lip and palate, micrognathia, Treacher Collins Syndrome, Apert's Syndrome, Crouzon's Syndrome are some types that are treated by craniofacial surgery.

Track 6: Rhinoplasty & Otoplasty

Rhinoplasty is usually a nose job and it is plastic surgery procedure that is done for correcting and reconstructing the nose. In this there are two types of plastic surgery methods are used that is reconstructive surgery that will restore the form and also restores the functions of the nose whereas cosmetic surgery will improve the appearance of the nose. Otoplasty denotes the surgical and non-surgical procedures that are used for correcting the defects of the external ear, and for reconstructing a defective or absent external ear.

Track 7: Hand Surgery or Chiroplasty

Hand Surgery or popularly known as Chiroplasty is a term which is refers to surgery of hand. The word "Chir" means Hand and "plasty" means surgery. It deals with both surgical and non-surgical processes that take place in the hand. Hand surgery is practiced by graduates that pursue general surgery, orthopedic surgery and plastic surgery.

Track 8: Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Oral and maxillofacial surgery is a type of surgery that is done on face, mouth, and jaws. A maxillofacial surgeon is one who is specialist treating the entire cranio maxillofacial complex. Maxillofacial surgeons will require training in the fields like dentistry, surgery, and general medicine. Oral and maxillofacial surgery is mainly done in the field of dentistry. In many countries doctors who perform maxillofacial surgery should have both medical and dental degree.

Track 9: Trauma Surgery

Trauma surgery is a special type of surgery which uses both operative and non-operative management treatment to treat traumatic injuries. It is used for acute setting. They should have training in trauma or surgical critical care. The trauma surgeon is responsible for initially resuscitating and stabilizing and later evaluating and managing the patient.

Track 10: Skin Rejuvenation and Resurfacing

Facial rejuvenation is a type of cosmetic treatment that is done in-order to restore back our youthful appearance to the human face. This can be achieved by any of the surgical and/or non-surgical procedures. This method mainly use laser light with high heat energy which destroys thin sections of skin. It uses a process where top layer is removed while underlying layers get heated up. This results in the growth of new collagen fibres which stimulates new skin growth that is much smoother. This process can be done by a plastic surgeon or dermatologist. This may treat us wrinkles around the eyes, mouth, or forehead individually or can treat an entire face.

Track 11: Anaesthesia for Plastic Surgery

Plastic Surgery is one of the most advanced and highly used practices throughout the world. In the current research it is   possible to operate patients with pathologies which were not previously happen. This led to the progress in anaesthesiology. The reduce in the overall cost had resulted in the exponential growth of plastic and reconstructive surgery procedures. There are some Anesthetic medicines availing in market these days which are local, regional, or general anesthesia or conscious sedation used routinely and allowing us to manage patients for short stay. But they may cause pain, nausea, and vomiting sometimes.

Track 12: Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic dentistry is generally used as a term where dental work is used. It mainly improves the appearance but not necessarily effect functioning of teeth or gums.  It mainly focus on improving certain elements like colour, position, shape, size, alignment of the teeth and also the overall smile appearance. Doctors should have specific education, training, and experience in this field.

Track 13: Gender Reassignment Surgery

Gender reassignment surgery is a type of surgical procedure that is done to any transgender person to change the physical appearance and function of their existing sexual characteristics which will be altered to resemble that socially associated with their identified gender. It is a part of a treatment for gender dysphoria in transgender people. Professional medical organizations have established Standards of Care that apply before someone can apply for and receive reassignment surgery, including psychological evaluation, and a period of real-life experience living in the desired gender. Feminization surgeries are surgeries that end in anatomy that's typically gendered female.

Track 14: Skin Malignancy Therapy

Skin cancer may be a disease during which malignant (cancer) cells form within the tissues of the skin. Different types of cancer start in the skin. Skin color and being exposed to sunlight can increase the danger of basal cell carcinoma and epithelial cell carcinoma of the skin. Basal cell carcinoma, epithelial cell carcinoma of the skin, and keratosis often appear as a change within the skin. Tests or procedures that examine the skin are wont to detect and diagnose basal cell carcinoma and epithelial cell carcinoma of the skin.

Track 15: Micro Surgery

Microsurgery may be a general term for surgery requiring a binocular microscope. Microsurgery may be a surgical discipline that mixes magnification with advanced diploscopes, specialized precision tools and various operating techniques. These techniques are primarily used to anastomose small blood vessels and to coat nerves.

Track 16: Pediatric Plastic Surgery

Pediatric cosmetic surgery is cosmetic surgery performed on children. Its procedures are most frequently conducted for reconstructive or cosmetic purposes. In children, this line is usually blurred, as many congenital deformities impair physical function also as aesthetics. Surgery is defined as treating injuries or conditions with operative instrumental treatment. Plastic is a derivative of the Greek word plastikos, which means "to build up" or "to take form".  Children structure roughly 3% of all cosmetic surgery procedures, and therefore the majority of those procedures correct a congenital deformity.  Cosmetic surgery is defined as a surgery undertaken to enhance the physical appearance and self-esteem of a patient. These procedures are usually elective.

Track17: Advances in Plastic Surgery

Recent progress in cosmetic surgery has been rapid and lots of new techniques are developed. Reconstructive procedures have been advanced by a better understanding of the anatomy of the blood supply to skin and muscle, with the subsequent development of the use of axial flaps, musculocutaneous flaps and neurosensory flaps. Replacement joints are developed which will be utilized in hands for joints destroyed by arthritis or trauma. Craniofacial surgery is a new field of endeavour in plastic surgery, involving new techniques that can be used to treat exophthalmos of Graves' disease and the facial deformities resulting from gigantism and acromegaly. Head and neck procedures have advanced, with the stress on immediate reconstruction using new flaps. Techniques for treating cleft lip and palate have been refined. Encouraging results have been reported in the treatment of nevus flammeus with argon lasers. Improved understanding of the physiology and treatment of radio necrosis has evolved.

Track 18: Non- Invasive Plastic Surgery

Non- Invasive Procedures is a practice that is done by limited physical signs and minimal downtime and mostly uses traditional cosmetic procedures.  They include

Market Research:

Globally the plastic surgery industry is divided into extensive variety of surgical and non-surgical procedures. The surgical procedures are further categorized into sub specialities such as liposuction, Rhinoplasty, Abdominoplasty, eyelid surgery, Breast augmentation. With betterment of existing technologies and less expensive procedures plastic surgery has been nothing short of miracle. Plastic surgery has become more accessible as the statistics show an increase in the procedures performed year on year. Many procedures have become less invasive with fewer side effects and shorter recovery. With these benefits, it's no wonder that an increasing number of women and men are turning to surgical and non-surgical cosmetic procedures to improve their appearance. Not only appearance but, plastic surgery is done to reconstruct a malfunctioning body part or to treat people suffering from burn injuries.

ISPAS, International society of aesthetic and plastic surgery, which is also the major regulating body internationally, has released its statistical report on aesthetic and plastic surgery in 2016 that shows a great future is lying ahead for plastic surgery industry.

1. About 21 million surgical and non-surgical procedures were performed in 2015 worldwide which shows an increase of over 1 million cosmetic procedures from 2014.
2. Out of total procedures 9.6 million surgical procedures were performed in 2015
3. 2.6 million Non-surgical procedures were performed in USA out of 12.1 million total non-surgical procedures reported in 2015.
4. United States took the top spot for total number of surgical procedures performed.
5. USA, Brazil, South Korea, India, and Mexico are the top five countries to perform surgical and non-surgical procedures.
6. Botox has been ranked the most popular cosmetic procedures.
7. Most frequently performed surgical procedures were breast augmentation, liposuction, eyelid surgery, Abdominoplasty. These procedures showed more than 10% increase from previous year.
8. Most frequently performed non-surgical procedures in 2015 were:

                     1. BOTOX

                           2. Hyaluronic acid

                           3. Hair removal

                           4.  Photo rejuvenation

                           5. Non-surgical Fat reduction/ Laser liposuction

9. Women had 85.6%of the total procedures performed in 2015.Most preferred surgical procedures were Rhinoplasty, breast augmentation, liposuction, eyelid surgery and Abdominoplasty.
10. More than 3 million procedures were performed on men which accounts 14.4% of the total. The top procedures performed on men were: eye surgery, liposuction, gynecomastia, Rhinoplasty, fat grafting and ear surgery.

According to ASPS, American Society of Plastic Surgeons, around 15.9million minimally invasive cosmetic procedures were performed in USA in 2015, which recorded a 2 per cent increase from previous year. Of which 14.2 million minimally invasive procedures and 1.7 cosmetic surgical procedures were performed. Both the procedures registered a 2 per cent increase in 2015. A total of 5.8 million reconstructive procedures were performed which recorded an increase of 1 per cent in 2015 in USA. While plastic surgery industry has a large base in US, it is more prevalent in South Korea. South Korea holds the top position in plastic surgery market by per capita. Taiwan, a leading Asian country is known for its anti-aging procedures such as facelifts, face rejuvenation. Brazil has been experiencing a significant increase in no. of surgeries performed in last few years.
